Working from Home Today

Today is my day off from the shop. I love my work, so today I get to work at home. It saves gas, gives me a different perspective and uninterrupted time to work on new designs.

Not long ago I finished another mystery knit along pattern. This will be the first time in over a year that we have done a knit a long. I chose to design a "market bag". I wanted to call it "Deception" because it is so deceiving in what it can hold. However, that really isn't a great name for a pattern that one hopes will be out there for years.

I did do something special for this bag for those of you who do not get or like to create gauge swatches. Just skip the dreaded step by buying two extra skeins. That way you will have more than enough yarn to complete your project with out panic. Of course the stitch patterns work better if you are at least in the ball park of the gauge.

For those who always do a gauge swatch and swatch till they get get gauge you will be purchasing two skeins, (two different colors) for your market bag. Of course the details and sign up information will be posted sometime this month at Tempe Yarn

Fred is the creative one with words...so we will see how blogging weekly turns out. Who knows? Hanging around with him, maybe some of the "blog & web" creativity will grow on me.

Have a wonderful fiber day!
